20's finger wave style updo for Heather Leary. She hosted a "Great Gatsby" themed New Years Eve Party. I really enjoy different styles like this one. So classic!

Braids

There are many different styles of braiding. This is an example of what has become known as the Waterfall Braid. This type of braid has become one of the most requested styles. It is simple but does take a bit of practice. Begin with a regular braid with three 1/2" to 1" sections. Cross over sections like you would normally until you have the traditional French Braid, but instead of picking up new sections each time, you will only pick up hair from the top one time per section. Once you have gathered hair from the top, cross it over the middle section and let it go. Cross over the top section with the bottom section and move on.

I realize a video tutorial would be more appropriate for a "how to" but I hope you find this helpful!

 

Remember, braids aren't perfect and can be twisted and pinned to create different styles.
